Kanchipuram Idly
- Unique version of Idly(originated from Kanchipuram Varadaraja Perumal Temple as a prasadam) is prepared by mixing few tempering ingredients to the fermented batter.
- Batter proportion : Equal amount of idly rice, urad dal, raw rice.
- Tempering Ingredients : mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal, grated ginger, curry leaves, green chilli, cashews, cumin powder and pepper powder (powders to be added at the end, after turning off the stove.
- Tempering should be done once the batter is fermented.
Do give it a try once to get the taste alike of temple prasadam, can't beat the original though.🙏
