Mutton Seekh Kebab

Mutton Seekh Kebab is easy to make at home. If we are able to get charcoal and induce the smokey flavor from it, we can bring in the taste alike of restaurant recipe.

Preparation:
  • 100g appox minced mutton.
  • In a bowl, mix all the below ingredients with minced mutton and let it marinate for a minimum of 1 hour.
    • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
    • 1 tsp chilli powder
    • 1 tsp coriander powder
    • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
    • 1/4 tsp amchur powder
    • 1/2 tsp roasted gram flour
    • 1 onion, finely chopped 
    • 2 green chilli, finely chopped
    • coriander leaves finely chopped
  • Can shape the mixture with help of bamboo skewers - take a portion of mixture and make a cylindrical shape out of it (can brush your clean hands with melted butter)
  • Insert a skewer to it (slightly wet the skewer before using) -> frame a shape being in the skewer -> gently remove the skewer from it / if it is difficult to remove, can cook with skewers on. 
  • In a pan, add in 3 - 5 tsp oil -> place the shaped mixture and cook it from all sides in medium flame. 
  • Note : Charcoal flavor can be induced while the mixture is resting for marination
