Prawn Caldine
For the yellow curry, grind below ingredients to a smooth paste.
- Grated/shredded coconut - 100g approx
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
- Vinegar - 1/2 tsp
- Salt per taste
Preparation:
- On a hot pan, add oil -> add finely chopped onions once the oil is hot -> cook till the onion turns slightly brown
- Add the ground yellow masala and bring it to one boil.
- Adjust water and salt at this stage -> cook for 2 mins
- Add green chilli(optional) and prawns -> cook for 5 - 7 mins
Fish is majorly used for this Goan Caldine curry. Can be tried with Lady's finger as veg option.
